I just finished one of the best Cheeseburgers I've had in a long time. The Lettuces and Tomatoes were"Super Fresh" . The Meat fresh, juicy, and tender. The beer battered onion rings we're hot and crispy. They even serve spaghetti and meatballs. Yummy Yum Yum!

Keep an eye on the lady cooking your food. We’ve been coming to this place for years because the food is good. Love the burgers! But today, we ordered a burger with fries that my boyfriend and I were going to share. The female cook was sitting outside when we arrived as we sat down and after ordering our food the cook walks in from the back and grabs a bun (our bun) and throws it on the grill. She decided to wash her hands after she handled our bun. As she’s waiting for our burger to cook she leans against the counter and starts texting. Then she started scratching her scalp and putting her hair inside a white hat that she always wears. She did NOT wash her hands and With those same hands she starting preparing our burger, she touched the lettuce, tomatoes and our bun. I was getting ready to approach her to tell her to throw that burger away and wash her hands with SOAP and water and prepare another burger but my boyfriend stopped me. I can tell you, that I did NOT eat my half of the burger. I was way to grossed out. So if your going to eat here keep your eye on the cook.

Look, the staff was nice. But when four burgers and 2 soda's cost me over $60, I can't accept that. I know that businesses are faced with rising rent and overhead, rising costs of goods. But here's the thing: Can our burgers come with a side of fries at least for that much? If I go and sit down at Applebee's, and I order a burger, it's going to have fries on the side, and I know they have burgers for less than 10 dollars. And the Red Onion isn't even a true sit down restaurant. It's is in line with the Foster Freezes, the Nations, BOTH of which offer sit down seating, yet you order your food first, and it is not tip based. Now don't get me wrong, offering tips to young workers is good, but we are all struggling here, and when I go into a place like this and four burgers cost 53 dollars and change, I can't afford a decent tip. So I tipped 7 bucks, bringing my total over $60. A cup of fountain soda was $3.20. I should have went next door to 7-11 and got a 2 liter for the same price. The only reason we went here is because we were driving through, and I grew up in the area and my wife loved this place, so I wanted to treat my family knowing that we couldn't really afford a "real" restaurant. But by the time we sat down and saw the prices, I couldn't pull my family out of there, but the truth is, a real sit down restaurant would have been cheaper. You know, if the burgers at least came with fries in the basket, maybe I wouldn't be so upset. But damn I swear you can't do anything in this world anymore without it breaking your bank. If you're not making 6 figures, how does anyone afford to eat out anymore, even to a fast food burger joint like this?

I have been eating at The Red Onion since I was a child. There is an excellent selection of food here. It is by far not just burgers! During our visit my wife had a turkey burger wrapped in lettuce with onions and tomatoes. My little girl enjoyed Red Onion's famous fries! As for myself, I got the patty melt, which is basically a grilled cheese sandwich with a burger patty and onions! I also had a blueberry shake! Full of real blueberries! The place has always had a really homey feel to it. This visit was no different. The staff was friendly and very attentive. If you are looking for a place for a good time and good food, The Red Onion is the perfect place!

Delicious cheeseburgers and fries, that is all I've had there, but there's a wide variety of food to choose from (and the wait is never too long). It's one of my favorite burger joints!
