It was past 8:00 pm and I was near starvation. A lot of places in the Asian District close at 8 and so... I started to wonder down NW Expressway searching for something different. I landed at Hunan. Buffet cost was $10+ with tax. Pretty standard.I could see where this place could garner a 4 star, but for now I'm sticking with an A-Okay mark. The one gripe that I have? The temperature of the food was all mish mashed across the board. Some food was piping hot while others were cold and gross. I kind of wish I tried the Mongolian BBQ, but I normally don't eat that stuff when I'm at a buffet. Doesn't really appeal to me I guess.Beef & Broccoli - good.Chicken & Broccoli - over cooked broccoli.General Tso chicken + Sesame Chicken = they both look and tasted the same. Cheese mussels - Surprisingly... GoodGarlic Shrimp - Good if you ignore the fact that they don't bother to De-vein the shrimpCrab - I believe they use Blue crab. It was cold, lightly breaded and not freshClams w/ black bean sauce - The best seafood dish I had.Sushi - I only had one piece of the Rainbow Roll and it wasn't terrible. I could tell it's been sitting out for a while because the salmon didn't taste or look very fresh. Didnt get sick, woohoo!5 Spice Chicken - I think that's what it was called. It was rock hard and cold. Not good.Since I was dining late, I'm sure I probably got the old left overs. I might give them another try sometime soon because some of their dishes were spot on with flavors that I like.
