Listen, I just came back from Thailand, and I ate so much Thai food that sriracha was running through my veins. And after coming back, I still wanted more. *If you find yourself in the West Village, don't even think about going anywhere other than Morakote Siam on Carmine Street. However, an East Village staple is Tai Thai. Yes, the pad khing was slightly below my standards -- I could make it better myself at home -- but the gang kheaw waan (green curry) was some of the best I've had around here. The massaman curry, though a bit sweet, was also tasty. While some Thai joints seem to pull of stir-fried dishes much better, this place has mastered curry making and I will return for more, because making green curry myself is a pain in the ass. *this is a sign that I might need a Thai girlfriend.
